Mary Glyn Dees

Mary Glyn Dees, 87, passed into Heaven on Sunday, December 24, 2017. She was born on April 3, 1930 to Cecil and Grace Gartman. She was a homemaker, founding member of Community Christian Fellowship Church, a member of the choir and enjoyed volunteer work in her community. She loved spending time with her family. Mary’s loving and giving heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, husband, Winfred Warren Dees; brothers, Larry Gartman, Cecil Gartman and Robert Gartman; sisters, Genevive Jackson and Wanda Frank. She leaves to cherish her memories, sons, Warren Dees (Inez), James Dees (Donna) and David Dees (Elise); daughters, Martha Coaker (Ronnie), Sherry Blow (Brian), Cindy Wildrick (Bret) and Janet Williams; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; George Chaney, who lived and worked on the family farm for many years; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6pm – 8pm Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11am, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Barton Turner officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Dees, Zack Dees, Caleb Akridge, Scottie Akridge, Gaylon Dees and Doug Cochran, Jr. Burial will follow in Deer Park Cemetery.
