Maurice Claborn "Clay" Tucker, Jr., known fondly as "Nervous Wreck" in the trucking community, has sadly passed away at his residence on May 30, 2024. He was born on March 1, 1962. Clay dedicated much of his life to his career as a truck driver, a profession he pursued since graduating high school. Additionally, he began working as a pipeliner in the early 2000s for several years.
Outside of work, Clay had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He had a passion for traveling and took pleasure in hauling cattle and fruit across the country. These experiences allowed him to appreciate the beauty of different landscapes and cultivate meaningful connections with those he encountered on his journeys.
Clay is survived by his loving children: Savannah Tucker Bayles (Ryan), Tray Tucker, and Ashton Tucker Parnell (Brandon). His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Cayden, Colton, Kayzlee Anna, Collin, Liam, and Stella; brothers: David Tucker (Linda) and John Tucker (Karen); life-long friend, Diana Campbell; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Claborn Tucker, Sr.; mother, Lavonne Tucker; and sister, Deborah Tucker.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 9:00 AM until the 10:00 AM funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Maurice Claborn "Clay" Tucker, Jr., will be remembered for his witty personality and adventurous spirit. May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly loved and will be missed.
