Melba B Sharpe

Melba B. Sharpe passed away on October 14, 2026, at her home. She was born on January 20, 1946, and will be remembered with deep love as a devoted mother, sister, Memaw, Mimi, and friend.

Melba found joy in the simple and beautiful things of life. She loved maintaining and caring for her yard, and took special pleasure in flowers and fruit trees. The care she gave to the things around her reflected the care she gave to the people she loved. She cherished her family above all else, and her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren.

Those who knew Melba will remember her as someone who made life warmer and more thoughtful. She was loving and attentive, and she had a gift for taking care of all the minor details that made moments feel special. In quiet, lasting ways, she created comfort and showed love, leaving memories that will remain close to the hearts of those who knew her.

Melba is survived by her children, Todd Manus (Dana), Kim Manus, and Tonya Neimeyer; sister Cheryl Brimkman; grandchildren, Tim Holley (Kristi), Kristen Holley, Cortney Holley (Rod), Caitlin Manus, and Austin Manus; eleven great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, T.J. and Lillie Spence; her brothers, Timothy Sharpe, Kenneth Spence, and Dole Spence; and her sisters, Linda Schneider and Joyce Manus.

A memorial service for Melba B. Sharpe will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Marvin Robisnon officiating.

Melba’s life was rooted in love, care, and family. Her memory will live on in the beauty she cultivated, the special touches she gave so freely, and the love she poured into the lives of others.
