Minnie Knapp, a cherished member of the Citronelle community, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. Born on November 4, 1949, Minnie lived a life rich in faith, family, and fellowship, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Minnie’s steadfast devotion to her faith was among her proudest accomplishments. She loved attending church and held her spiritual beliefs close to her heart throughout her life. Often described as the "family newspaper," Minnie had a unique gift for keeping up with the lives of those she loved. She delighted in sharing stories, staying connected with family and friends, and was known for her warm and engaging presence.

She had many joys, including playing bingo and card games, as well as an enduring love for gospel music. These simple pleasures brought her great happiness and were often shared with her beloved grandchildren.

Minnie is survived by her daughter Starla Pierce; her grandsons Roy Pierce and Levi; her granddaughter Jessica Pierce; and her great-grandchildren Lila, Liza, and Gideon. She also leaves behind her siblings Pat Taylor (Judy), Nellie Ann Echols (Lutcher), and Elsie Deloris Majors (James). Her family circle extends further through a multitude of nieces and nephews, along with many other relatives and dear friends who will remember her fondly.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Pierce; her husband Roy Knapp; her great-grandson Jace Pierce; her parents Henry and Molly Taylor; and her sisters Betty Johnston and Lena Mae Taylor.

A visitation to honor Minnie’s life will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 10:30 until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service with Bro. Phil Herr officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery. Family, friends, and community members are invited to gather to celebrate her memory and the legacy she leaves behind.

Minnie Knapp’s warmth, love of family, and unyielding faith have left a lasting impact. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all fortunate enough to have known her.
