Minnie Lucy Byrd

Minnie Lucy Byrd, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at Providence Hospital. She was 77 years old. Lucy loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Lucy was preceded in death by her son, Clarence Chestang; grandson, Steven Weaver; parents, Houston and Cleo Evans; and brothers, McKinley “Sonny Boy” Sullivan and Jerry Sullivan. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Warren Kenny Chestang (Jay) and Jack Eric Byrd (Lynn); grandchildren, Erika Byrd, Jack Byrd, Jr., Thomas Byrd, Warren Chestang, Jr.; a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Evans; and many other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Lucy from 6pm until 9pm Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 11am Friday, May 21, 2021, at Simple House of Praise Church with Rev.
