Mitchell Duane Brown

December 16, 1963 — July 24, 2019

Mitchell Duane Brown passed away on July 23rd at his home in Mobile, Alabama, at the age of 55.

Mitch’s generosity and compassion touched the lives of countless family, friends and strangers. Mitch loved to fish, loved to dance, and he loved to love. His charisma brightened every room he entered, his zeal and conscientiousness were inspiring, and his laughter will forever ring across the river banks. Inquisitive, vivacious and formidable, he was a magnetic force of nature and leaves a void that can never be filled.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Gladys Brown; his adoring partner for 34 years, Peter Rivers; his treasured children: Zebulon Brown, Alton Webb, Shane Rivers, Alexis Frazer; his five beautiful grandchildren; his devoted friend, Baba Green; as well as his brother, Dean, and many nieces, nephews, close relatives and dear friends.

On Saturday, August 3rd, family and friends will be received from 1pm with memorial services beginning at 2pm at Howardtown Church (1663 Howardtown Rd, Tibbie, AL 36583).

On Sunday, August 4th, a celebration of life will be held from 3pm to 5pm at Dauphin’s (RSA Trustmark Bank Building, 107 St Francis St, 34th floor, Mobile, AL 36602).
