Norma Faye Watts

Norma “Faye” Watts, age 83, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at her home in Citronelle, AL.  She was surrounded by her family.

Faye was born on October 14, 1939, in Gilbertown, AL. She was a retiree of the Mobile County Public School System. She was a faithful member of Cedar Creek Holy Church of God and was known for her great cooking, love for her family, and service to others.

Faye was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Nora Lee Adams; one son, Randy Watts; one grandson, Riley Jones; five siblings, Edna Earle Pugh, Paul Adams, John L. Adams, Hazel Morgan, and Hilda Walker. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, S.E. Watts; one son and daughter in law, Steve and Charlene Watts; two daughters and sons in law, Melanie and Doug Carpenter, Melissa and Anthony Day, all of Citronelle, AL; eight grandchildren, Stephen Watts (Natalie), Bethany Watts, Lee Jones, Cody Carpenter, Logan Day, Macie Jones, Jada Day, and Gabriel Day; two great grandchildren, Denver and Everly Watts; two siblings, Katie Adams, Shorty Adams (Margaret); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Faye was lovingly cared for in her final days by her caretaker, Sissy Abston.

A wake will be held for Faye from 6pm until 9pm Friday, February 24, 2023, at Cedar Creek Holy Church of God.  The funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Cedar Creek Holy Church of God with Rev. Steve Watts, Rev. David Phillips, and Rev. Donald Williamson officiating.  Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Community Cemetery.  Pallbearers include Stephen Watts, Logan Day, Gabriel Day, Anthony Day, Doug Carpenter, Randy Adams, and Lee Jones.
