Norville Y. McGill, 88, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at his home. Norville was a retired truck driver for Miller’s Transport and Deacon at Whatley Holiness Church. He was a beloved member of the community. Norville loved life and enjoyed farming, syrup making, working outdoors and spending time with his family. Most of all, he enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking a cup of coffee with his wife, Catherine. Norville was preceded in death by his parents, Yuille and Edna McGill; and brother, Gene McGill. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 66+ years, Catherine McGill; daughters, Deborah McGill Sullivan and Darlene Fenton (Bryan); four grandchildren, Chanda Malone Butts, Christi Stringer (Judson), Brittany Pate (Brandon) and Hannah Lloyd (Ben); four great grandchildren, Roddy, Gabe, Gavin and Gaines; brother, Melvin McGill; sister, Voncile Chambliss; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the 3pm funeral service on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Whatley Holiness Church with Rev. Gaylon Cunningham, Rev. Jimmy Lloyd and Rev. Donnie Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Whatley Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be James Henderson, Wesley Lloyd, Buster Hardee, Chris Lloyd, J.D. Hamilton and Jim Lloyd. Honorary Pallbearer is Al Rutherford. The family would like to thank Bro. Gaylon & Sister Kim Cunningham and Bro.
