Oscar Travis Reed, Jr.

Oscar Travis Reed, Jr., affectionately known as Travis, was born on October 18, 1969, and passed away on August 18, 2025. He was a man who lived life with a straightforward demeanor and an infectious sense of humor that brought joy and laughter to those around him.

Travis was a cherished presence in the lives of his family and friends. His legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Sharman Reed, and their three children: daughters Heather Snow (Ronnie) and Jasmine Reed, and son Oscar Travis Reed, III (Kayla). He took immense pride in his role as a father and grandfather, finding his greatest accomplishments reflected in the lives of his grandchildren: Trent, Jasalyn, Reed, Kyndall, Ezra, Karson, Preston, Abby, Piper, Karter, and Kameron. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Reed (Melanie), sister, Dianna Weaver (Lewis), a beloved aunt, Willie Mae Reed; a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends who will remember him fondly.

A man of the outdoors, Travis enjoyed hunting and fishing, which allowed him to connect with nature and the world around him. He had a deep passion for gardening and was a devoted fan of Auburn University, often rallying behind his team with enthusiasm. His love for any form of outdoor activity mirrored his zest for life, making each day an adventure.

A wake will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Happy Gospel Assembly of God Church. The funeral service will be held the following day Friday, August 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Kevin Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Reed's Chapel Cemetery. 

Travis Reed will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his unwavering love for his family and his ability to make others laugh. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
