Othella W. Copeland

Othella W. Copeland, 80, a native of Philadelphia, Mississippi and resident of Saraland, Alabama passed away on February 14, 2017 at Azalea Gardens of Mobile. She was a homemaker and member of Turnerville Baptist Church. “Nanny” was a loving mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed. She made sure that her family was well taken care of and always had a meal prepared to feed everyone. Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Brady Jerald Copeland. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kathy Ferguson of Saraland, AL., Sherry (Tommy) Stewart of Citronelle, AL., David Copeland of Chunchula, AL., Grady Copeland of Satsuma, AL. and Debbie (Ray) Petree of Beaumont, TX.; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer (Mitchell) Wilkins, Leslie (Jonathan) Ritchie, Laura (Fallon) Watts, Jerred (Kelley) Stewart, Zachary Stewart, Clint Copeland, Cliff Copeland, Blake Copeland, Logan Copeland, Derek Petree and Jamie Petree; six great grandchildren, Will, Emma, Ethan, Grayson, Hartley, and Annalise; sister, JoAnn Belk; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am Funeral Service on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Meaux officiating. Interment will be in Grace Williams Cemetery - Fruitdale, AL. The family would like to give a special thanks to Deborah Williams for all the love and concern that was shown to Mrs. Copeland.
