Mobile, Alabama

Randall Ray Ledbetter, affectionately known as Randy, departed this life on September 25, 2025, at USA Health Providence Hospital. He was born on July 1, 1967, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and career.

Randy was a respected project scheduler and project manager for much of his professional life, recently working at Qualus at the Greenville, MS plant for Entergy. He was known for his meticulous planning of shutdowns and new construction projects, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment.

A proud graduate of Citronelle High School, Randy attended the University of South Alabama on a prestigious music scholarship, showcasing his artistic talents. During his high school years, he earned the John Philip Sousa award, highlighting his dedication and passion for music.

Randy's personality was a blend of fun and love; he was known for his playful teasing that brought laughter to those around him. He had a deep love for cooking, particularly renowned for his competition barbeque brisket. His joy for cooking was shared with his brother and children as they formed a competition barbeque team called the Late Night Butt Rubbers. As a co-owner of Mama's Place Restaurant in Citronelle, he perfected many of his famous dishes. A die-hard Alabama football fan, Randy enjoyed playfully teasing LSU fans, creating camaraderie and cheerful rivalry with his colleagues in Louisiana.

His proudest achievements were his children, who he adored deeply. Randy’s legacy will live on through his loving wife, Diana Ledbetter, and their children: Myles Ledbetter, Mikala Ledbetter, Mason Ledbetter, Colton Pitts, Carson, Zachary Sawyer, and Rachel Sawyer (Talgat Makabayev). He was also a cherished grandfather to Jules, Max, Luka, and Liam, whose lives he enriched with his unyielding love and support. Randy is survived by his brothers, Danny Ledbetter (Kathy) and Charles Welch, as well as his niece, Amber Henderson (Cavin), and nephew, Jaron Ledbetter (Stephanie). His beloved pets, Peanut, Lucy, Linus, and Mila also felt the warmth of his presence.

In his passing, Randy joins his parents, Jarrell and Iva Ledbetter, his grandparents, Lee Thomas and Pricey Thomas, his sister, Rhonda Ledbetter, and his pets, Chloe and Mason, all of whom will continue to be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
