Randy Lamar Byrd

Randy Lamar Byrd, a native and resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, November 02, 2021, at Springhill Medical Center. He was 49 years old. Randy was born November 08, 1971. He was an avid Auburn Football fan and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandbaby. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Randy was preceded in death by his mothers, Norma Jean Evans and Juanita ''Big Mama'' Johnston; fathers, Richard Byrd and Phil ''Big Daddy'' Johnston; grandparents, Bertha Orso and Joe Orso; brother, Norman Evans; and sister, Darlene Byrd.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Bethany Byrd (Bryce), Brandee Byrd, Adam Lofton, Layla Byrd, and Timothy ''Rock'' Byrd (Ceselie); grandchildren, Adley, Braylon, and Tinsley; special mother and father, Linda and Roland Byrd and Trave Evans (Allie); close friend, Amy Byrd; special friend, Miranda Davis; siblings, Brenda Sasser, Wanda Weaver (Roger), Phil Johnston (Becky), Allie Paul (Darryl), Richard Byrd (Misty), Ella Mae Naselroad (Kenny), Willie Mae Davis (Leonard), Sonya Johnston (Keith), Richard Dion Evans, and Johnny Evans; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Saturday, November 06, 2021, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Brewi, Rev. Jessie Byrd, Jr., and Bro.
