Roland Stanley, III, born on July 17, 1973, departed this life on October 3, 2025. He was a cherished son, brother, and friend whose legacy will resonate within the lives he touched.
Roland was a proud honoree of the Calcedeaver Fire Department, where he proudly served as a volunteer firefighter. He was also an active member of the Rabbit Burn hunting club, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow hunters and the great outdoors. Roland's love for football was well-known; he was an avid fan of the Florida Gators, displaying unwavering loyalty—unless, of course, they lost, which then sparked a good-nature of disappointment.
A devoted member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Roland found joy in taking up offerings on Sunday mornings, reflecting his deep faith and love for his church community. His spirit will forever be remembered by those who witnessed his warmth, enthusiasm, and kindness.
He leaves behind his beloved parents, Roland and Kathern Stanley, and his brother, Bryan Stanley. Additionally, he is survived by a host of family and many friends who will carry his memory close to their hearts. Roland was predeceased by his grandparents, Clarence and Gertrude Byrd and Roland and Maggie Mae Stanley, Sr.
A visitation for Roland will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church starting at 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow shortly thereafter, beginning at 1:00 PM with Bro. Paul McVay officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
Roland Stanley, III, leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and passion that will not be forgotten. His spirit lives on in the memories and stories shared by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
