Ronald "Jack" Englebert, born February 27, 1945, passed away peacefully at his home on August 19, 2026, at the age of 81. Throughout his life, Ronald embodied the quiet values of dedication, contentment, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that each day offered.
In his retirement, Jack found happiness in the slower moments of life. He enjoyed his time fishing and those who knew Jack will remember him for his love of porch sitting—a cherished ritual where he would savor the stillness, reflect on years gone by, and greet neighbors and friends with a welcoming wave or gentle smile.
Jack was never idle; he particularly delighted in tinkering outdoors, especially when it came to working on his tractor. These moments of hands-on engagement, tending to small repairs and maintenance, were an expression of his practical skills and his affinity for the land he called home. These quiet pursuits not only brought him personal satisfaction but also echoed his appreciation for purposeful, honest work.
Ronald is preceded in death by his twin brother, Donald "Doc" Englebert. He is survivied by his wife, Donna Englebert; children, Cindy Englebert and Edward Englebert; grandchildren, Shelby Englebert and Sarah Englebert; great grandson, Bowen; many neices and nephews; other relatives and friends.
To honor and remember Ronald, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Hall officiating. Ronald will be laid to rest at Antihoc Baptist Church Cemetery, 15755 Lock 17 Road, Kellerman, AL, with burial services on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
While Ronald Englebert’s presence will be greatly missed, the legacy of his kindness, steady spirit, and simple joys will remain with those who knew him.
