Ronald Douglas Seabury, affectionately known as "Unk," passed away peacefully at his home on September 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 23, 1946, Ronald lived a vibrant life marked by his outgoing and friendly personality that drew people to him wherever he went.

Ronald's love for sports was evident throughout his life. He was not only an avid fan, particularly of the Boston Redsox, but also an active participant in various athletic pursuits. His hobbies included playing baseball and softball, and he took great joy in umpiring softball games. Bowling was another favorite pastime, and he loved to engage in all things sports-related, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and competition among peers and friends.

His life revolved around the connections he made with those around him. Ronald had a remarkable ability to forge friendships and nurture relationships, earning the respect and affection of many. He is remembered fondly by numerous relatives, friends, and colleagues whose lives he touched in meaningful ways.

Ronald is survived by his brothers, Charles Seabury (Gale) and Wayne Seabury (Toshiko). He also leaves behind a cherished group of nieces and nephews, including Marty Seabury, Chris Seabury, Tim Seabury, Ken Seabury, Kelvin Towne, and Michael Towne, as well as nieces Irene Coghlan (Tom), Rumi Powell (Jeff), and Kelly Paz (Luis). Additionally, he will be missed by his close friends Vickie McManus, Robert Oguynn, Jerry Young, Brent Taylor, Johnny Robinson, and Dean Daugherty, among many others who held him dear.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Curtis Seabury; his mother, Margaret Elizabeth Barnett Seabury; his brothers, “Fritz” Curtis Seabury and John Lee Seabury; his sister, Margaret Irene Seabury Towne; his nephew, Jimmy Seabury; and his niece, Valerie Seabury.. Their memories will forever remain with those who loved him.

The family will receive friends on September 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church with Bro Charles Gambrell officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be James Martin Seabury, Timothy Wayne Seabury, Tyler Wilson, Jax Wilson, Brad Wilson, Michael Barnett, Andy Wilson, and Brent Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Young, Robert Mills, and Robert Oquynn.

Ronald Douglas Seabury's legacy of friendship, love for sports, and joyous spirit will continue to be celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know him. His enduring presence in the hearts of his family and friends will resonate for years to come.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Vernon Methodist Church.
