Ruth Weaver

Ruth Weaver, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed away on June 29, 2025, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 21, 1950, Ruth lived a vibrant life dedicated to those she held dear.

Ruth is survived by her three children: Danny Weaver (Ginger), Tracy Phair (Nathan), and Candice McLaughlin (James). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Crystal Weaver (Jesse), Charity Weaver, Bailey Weaver (Karlin), Hannah Weaver, Haleigh Weaver, B.J. McLaughlin, Autumn McLaughlin, and Brookelynn McLaughlin, as well as her great-grandchildren, Brody Weaver, Chloe Weaver, Madden Weaver, and Mylah Weaver. Ruth also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Laura Fredrickson and Maggie McDonald, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends whose lives she touched.

Ruth was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Weaver, as well as her parents, Adolf and Callie Weaver. She was the beloved sister to her brothers, Fletcher Weaver, Tom Weaver, Deleno Weaver, and Charles Weaver, and to her sisters, Callie Belle Jackson and Joyce Weaver.

Throughout her life, Ruth found immense joy in the simple pleasures of family and nature. She was most happy cooking for her family and being outdoors, whether it was in her garden during her younger years or enjoying time spent outside with loved ones. A music lover, Ruth often reminisced with friends and family over melodies that held special memories. She also loved getting dressed up and going to church, often making those experiences a shared delight with family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home from 10:00 until the 11:00 AM funeral service with Bro. Clyde Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery. 

Ruth Weaver will forever be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
