Sarah Elizabeth Smith

Sarah Woodson Smith, a lifetime resident of Citronelle, passed away at her home Monday, October 28, 2019. She was 68 years old. Sarah was born November 22, 1950. She was always full of life and enjoyed having a good time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, dancing, and listening to music. Most of all, Sarah and her husband, Roy, were passionate about caring for her brother, Mike. Sarah will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sarah Staehle; husband of 32 years, Robert H. Woodson, Jr.; and brothers, Leonard Staehle, John Staehle, and Bobby Staehle. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Roy Smith; children, Shelia Lambert (James) and Janice Smith; grandchildren, Lexie, Brooklynn, Matthew, and Tyler; siblings, Mike Staehle, Paul Staehle, Catherine Donovan (Roland), Juanita Isler, and Charlene Donald (James); and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Freeman Funeral Home from 10am until the 11am graveside service Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Pine Crest Cemetery with Rev. John Paul Lambert officiating.
