Sarah Lee Sullivan

Sarah Lee Sullivan, age 88, passed away peacefully at home with her family on December 6, 2018 in Tavares, Florida. Sarah was born in Jackson, Alabama, on February 14, 1930. She grew up in Mobile, Alabama, and spent her golden years with family in central Florida. She was a devoted housewife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, and she raised her children with great love and affection. Going to church and knowing the Lord Jesus as her Savior brought her joy among times of hardship, and she loved fellowshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ. Sarah loved her family and truly enjoyed experiencing life with them all. She always made time for her children and grandchildren, whether sitting down and playing paper dolls in the floor or attending live wrestling events even into her 80's, she had a great love for life and family and always maintained a child-like spirit and wonder at the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents George Benson Mitchell and Mary Elizabeth Dillard Bailey, her son Calvin Sullivan and daughter Mary Williams, husbands Stecial Sullivan and Willie Hoeft, brothers Benson Mitchell, Charles Bailey, Ben Bailey, and J.W. Bailey, and sisters Dorothy Ketchum and Media Hendrick.

She is survived by her daughters Brenda Sullivan and Linda Drashman Reynolds, sisters Patsy Jo Burke and Mary Emma Ray, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 11am until the 12pm funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Jerrell officiating.
