Shaklee Bernice Rivers, infant daughter of Sophie Rivers and Deak Sims, passed away Wednesday, October 05, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Clifford Rivers; maternal great-grandparents, Dossie and Bernice Rivers, and Crockett and Rosa Rivers; paternal great-grandparents, Verda Lee and Carrie Turner, and Ruthie Mae Sims.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Sophie Rivers and Deak Sims; siblings, Wayden, Roslyn, Kealslyn, and Hezekiah; grandparents, Wanda Rivers, Willie and Stella Sims; aunts and uncles, Thelma Barnes, Chris Wayne Rivers, Clifford Anthony Rivers, Erica Holmes, Farrah Reed, Jessi Durham, Jacob Rivers, Dale Rivers, Brandy Sims, and Styron Sims; godparents T.J. Orso and Victoria Duboise; a host of cousins; other relatives; and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Monday, October 10, 2022, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
