Shelia Johnson Jarrell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on November 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 4, 1960, Shelia embodied a spirit of love, giving, and selflessness that touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Shelia was married for 48 remarkable years to her devoted husband, Craig Jarrell. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and laughter. She was a proud mother to her son, Chris Jarrell, and her daughter, Amy Jarrell, who brought her immense joy and pride.
As a grandmother, Shelia found great happiness in watching her grandchildren thrive. Asalynn Chavers (and David Beacham), Tryton Jarrell, Keeli Goins, and Caleb Wulff were not just her grandchildren; they were her world. She cherished her role as a great-grandmother to Kyler Galloway and Apollo Wilson, and she will be deeply missed for the unique bond she shared with each of them.
Shelia had a profound faith that inspired many. She devoted her life to teaching others about the Lord and guiding them closer to Jesus. Her steadfast belief and commitment to her faith were invaluable to her family and community, making her the backbone of their lives.
She was an avid reader of her Bible and enjoyed spending her leisure time boating and watching her grandchildren play. She had a great love for animals and cherished the moments spent with her family, which were integral to her life.
Shelia is survived by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her cherished sisters, Rita Johnson and Rebecca Johnson. She leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who held her in high regard.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Fleeta Johnson, and her aunt, Clara Reed.
A visitation to honor Shelia will be held on November 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service at Magnolia Holiness Church with Bro. Ike Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Shelia Johnson Jarrell will be remembered for her loving spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and faith. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts she touched and the lives she changed.
