Terry A. Anderson, Sr., 62, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Terry was a Merchant Marine and worked as a Deckhand, later moving up to a Tugboat Pilot. Terry loved to share stories of his tugboat days to anyone who would listen. Terry was a faithful member of Oasis Church and loved to praise the Lord. Terry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved to go fishing in his spare time, but most of all, he tinkered with anything he could fix. Terry will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Anderson and Jewel Anderson; siblings, Jerry Nelson Anderson, Roberta Anderson, Dennis Wayne Anderson and Joseph Anderson. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, LeeAnn Hunsinger-Anderson; children, Terry “T.J.” Anderson, Jr., Ashley Mathews, Douglas Mathews, and Samuel Dewayne Anderson; also, raised as a daughter, Belinda Perry Hall; grandchildren; sister, Diane Parker; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until 11am on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home. Due to the current health situation of COVID 19 and orders from Department of Public Health, only 8 people may enter the facility for visitation at a time and compliance with social distancing will be observed.
