Tyler Byrd, a beloved figure known for his exceptional skill as an ace #1 appliance repair man and his vibrant personality, passed away peacefully at his home on July 28, 2025. He was 75 years old. Born on March 12, 1950, Tyler lived a life rich in laughter, service, and community involvement.
Throughout his career, Tyler became a trusted name in appliance repair, earning admiration and respect from all who had the pleasure of working with him. His keen expertise was matched only by his unwavering commitment to providing excellent service.
Beyond his professional life, Tyler was cherished for being an all-around good person, whose ability to make anyone laugh brought joy to numerous lives. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and gardening, where he found solace and fulfillment. In his younger days, Tyler enjoyed visiting the Sandy Ford swim hole, creating memories that would last a lifetime. He also had a profound passion for teaching adult Sunday school, sharing his faith and knowledge with others. Indeed, his faith stood as one of his proudest accomplishments, guiding him throughout his life.
Tyler leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Ida Byrd; his son, Stoney Byrd; and his daughters, Jennifer Orso (Brent), Ester Snow (Don), and Felecia Buish. He was a proud grandfather to Joseph Byrd, Jason Byrd, Michael Snow, Macy Snow, Stoney Byrd, Jr., Brandy White, Robert White, Jr., Benjamin Reed III, and Zoriana Djurdjevic. His legacy will also live on through his great-grandchildren, Gunner, Tyler, and Elijah.
He is survived by his siblings, Kathern Stanley (Roland), James Robert Byrd “Jim” (Arlene), and Dorothy Chestang (Elvin), along with a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Tyler was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Gertrude Byrd, as well as his brothers Tyrone Byrd and Donald Byrd.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM funeral service at Gospel of Jesus Ministries with Bro. Clyde Byrd, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery.
Tyler Byrd will be remembered not only for his professional talents but for the love and laughter he shared with all. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and faith that will inspire those who knew him for years to come.
