Tynie Reid

Tynie Reid, born on February 18, 1970, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at USA Providence Hospital. She was a cherished soul who embraced life with enthusiasm and joy, always seeking to enjoy good times surrounded by those she loved.

Tynie was a woman who found happiness in simple pleasures — she loved to shop and treasured being in the company of family and friends. Above all, her proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world and brought her immense pride and joy throughout her life.

She leaves behind a devoted family, including her children Dylan Byrd, Bailyn Rutledge, and Courtney Weaver. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren Brantleigh, Skyler, Dustin Jr., Cason, Riley, Remi, Grey, and Jaycee; brother, Derek Reid; special friend/sister, Angela Rivers; many other relatives, and friends, also survive her, all of whom will dearly miss her warm spirit and kind heart.

Tynie was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Nola Reid; her grandparents, Edna and George Reed; and her sister, Misty Reed. Their memories live on in her and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held at Freeman Funeral Home on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service with Bro. Jr Long officiating. Burial will follow in Reed's Chapel Cemetery. 

Tynie Reid’s presence will be deeply missed, but her joyous spirit and the love she shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
