Virginia Lucille Reed

Virginia Lucille Reed, a resident of Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was 73 years old. Virginia worked 35+ years for the Washington County Public School System. She loved to shop and tend to her garden and flowers. Virginia always had her makeup perfect and was dressed to a T. She loved spending time with and cooking for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Snow; her mother, Frozine Barber; her husband, James Reed; her daughter, Reba Stewart; and two great-granddaughters. She leaves to cherish her memory eight children, Cheryl Rivers (Emery), Jamie Reed Byrd (James), Audrey Orso (Cecil), Grace Reed, Karen Schaffer (Daniel, Jr.), James Reed (Donna), Spencer Reed, Wylie Reed (Angela); twenty-one grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Snow; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held 6pm-9pm, Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, February 1, 2019 at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev.
