Voncile Byrd, age 65, a native of Chatom, AL and a resident of Mount Vernon, AL, died Friday, July 24, 2009, at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, AL. She is survived by her husband Douglas Byrd; Mother - Teollie Byrd; Son-Gary Wayne Byrd all of Mount Vernon, AL Daughter-Bettye Lynn (Kenneth) Bedgood; Granddaughter- Jo Mae Frazier all of Citronelle, AL and Brother-Charles Moss of Mount Vernon, AL. The family will receive friends Monday, July 27, 2009 from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral service at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Lucas Rivers officiating. Interment in Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon, AL.
