Walker J Anglin, Jr.

January 11, 1939 — July 21, 2023

Walker J Anglin, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 21, 2023, at Saad Hospice Services. He was born on January 11, 1939, to Mildred Anglin and Walker Anglin, Sr.

Walker had a fulfilling career as a tree surgeon and found immense joy in working with the public. His dedication to his work was evident in his commitment to maintaining the natural beauty of the world around him. Walker's expertise as a tree surgeon not only provided him with a livelihood but also allowed him to positively impact the lives of others.

Outside of his profession, Walker was an individual full of warmth and kindness. He had a knack for making those around him feel at ease and had an incredible sense of humor that could instantly uplift the spirits of everyone in his presence. Walker's magnetic personality left an indelible mark on anyone fortunate enough to know him.

While Walker valued his work and friendships immensely, nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. He cherished every moment shared with his loving wife of 62 years, Delois Anglin. Together they built a life filled with love and lasting memories.

Walker leaves behind a legacy through both his children and grandchildren. His sons Robin Wayne Anglin and Jim Anglin carry with them the values instilled by their father - dedication, compassion, and resilience. Denise Young, his daughter, will forever treasure the bond they shared.

His grandchildren Allison, Brittney, Dakota, Phillip, Cole, Amber, and Hunter were blessed to have such a caring grandfather. Walker adored them all wholeheartedly. In addition to his grandchildren, he leaves behind a host of great-grandchildren who will grow up knowing the love he showered upon them.

In this time of grief and remembrance, let us not forget those who preceded Walker in death, his mother, Mildred Anglin; father, Walker Anglin, Sr.; daughter, Sherry Kountz; grandson, Billy Wayne Nobles; and siblings, Jerry Anglin, Bobby Anglin, and Eve Jackson. Their memories will forever be treasured and their legacies carried forward.

To honor the life of Walker J Anglin, Jr., a wake will take place on July 23, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Magnolia Holiness Church with Bro. Kenny Young and Bro. Clarence Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. These services will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together and celebrate a life well-lived.

Walker's passion for hunting was well-known among those close to him. It was during these moments in nature that he found solace and embraced the beauty of the world around him. His love for hunting allowed him to connect with nature in a profound way.
