Wallace Millard Reed

November 4, 1927 — April 17, 2018

Wallace Millard Reed, 90, a native of McIntosh, Alabama and resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Crowne Healthcare of Citronelle. Mr. Reed worked as a carpenter and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded by his parents, Elliott and Nancy Reed; wife, Sadie Mae Reed; and two sisters, Azalean Reed and Pearlie Mae Byrd. Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Melinda Lofton and Doris E. Reed (Benjamin); five grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Lucile Weaver, Tempress Fields, Nola Williams and Magnolia Edwards; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9pm Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11am Friday, April 20, 2018 at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Orso, Bro. Bennett Weaver, Bro. Bruce Weaver, Sister Francis Byrd and Sister Doris Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Bible Bearer will be Dale Byrd. Pallbearers will be Marlin Byrd, Thomas Brown, David Morse, Michael Brown, Bruce Weaver and William Johnston. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
