Willie Marcie Morris

April 18, 1926 — June 29, 2020

Marcie Jacks Morris, a resident of Mobile, formally a longtime resident of Citronelle, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020. She was born April 18, 1926 in Stephens, Arkansas. She traveled far from her home in rural Arkansas as her husband’s work took them to the plains of Montana, the Dakotas, and to the other side of the world before putting down roots in Citronelle.

She was a longtime member of Memorial Baptist Church. Many will remember her singing in the choir, working Vacation Bible School, and teaching Sunday School class. She also worked with the ladies in the kitchen during those Wednesday night suppers they used to have.

She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, C.B. Morris; and her parents, Parker and Oma Jacks. She is survived by her son, James Morris (Lavern); daughters, Gloria Morris and Dorothy Warford (David); grandchildren, Nick Craft, Jason Morris, Hailey Morgan (Brian), Seth Morris, Jared Warford, and Logan Warford; great grandchildren, Luke, Lily, Ethan, and Bryce; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, July 3, 2020, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
