Ola Loper Dykes went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Saturday, July 25, 2020. She was a hard working woman dedicated to the care of others. She enjoyed family get togethers and visiting local restaurants. She loved her family, friends, community and church. She was a loving mother and MawMaw and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her. She was a longtime member of Rounsville Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Joseph Henry “Joe” Dykes; daughter, Shirley Ann Denmark; mother, Rhonda Ann Cowart; brothers, Edward Loper and Jeff Weaver. Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her work are her children, James Dykes (Deborah), Kay Sellers (Kenny), Carol Gartman (Don) and Jeffrey Dykes (Nikki); nine grandchildren, James Stuart, Kenneth, Misty, Stacy, Brittany, Baleigh, Cassie, Dawson and Dalton; nine great grandchildren, Emilee, Hannah, Brady, Maddox, Jacee, Davis, Gracelyn, Jax and Curtis; sister, Dolly Zumbro; other relatives and friends. The wake for Mrs. Dykes will be from 6-9pm Monday, July 27, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Robinson and Bro. Amacker officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery.
